Anjali Gurnani
Anjali has served as a Chapter Coordinator of the AIF Chicago Chapter since its launch in July 2002. In 2000, Anjali Gurnani joined Lisle Technology Partners (LisleTech), a technology services investor in emerging businesses, as Director of Business Development. At LisleTech, Anjali is responsible for identifying and evaluating early stage start-ups that need assistance with advanced technology development, product positioning, business model development and raising capital. Prior to LisleTech, Anjali spent eight years in Corporate Human Resources and Executive Search. Anjali co-founded TiE Midwest in 1998 and has been serving as its Executive Director since 2000. She works actively to advance Chicago’s entrepreneurial development as an advisor to start-ups and is currently serving as a coach to finalists of the 2004 Midwest Venture Summit. In 2002, Anjali was named one of i-Street Magazine’s Women in Black, which recognizes emerging stars in the Chicago high-technology industry who have taken huge risks to achieve a leadership position in a traditionally male industry.
Rupal Raval
Rupal has served as a Chapter Coordinator of the AIF Chicago Chapter since January 2003. Raval is an Associate in the Chicago office of Gardner Carton & Douglas. As a member of the Firm's Corporate and Securities Department, her practice involves general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and international law. Ms. Raval earned her J.D. at the University of Notre Dame, where she served as the managing editor of the Journal of Legislation. Prior to entering law school, she studied at the London School of Economics in London, England. She also received the Public Policy and International Affairs Fellowship and studied at Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. Ms. Raval received her B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Ball State University.
Before joining Gardner Carton & Douglas, Ms. Raval worked as a Legislative Correspondent for U.S. Senator Paul Sarbanes focusing on tax, budget and health cares issues in Washington, DC. Prior to that she interned at the State Department in Washington, DC and with the Office of International Trade for the State of Indiana in Indianapolis.
