Serve in India
ENCorps
Rationale
There are a large number of NRI's in the US (and other countries) of the pre-baby boomer/ baby-boomer era who are in a state of transition:
- They have built successful careers, established a full-filling professional, family and social life over the past 25-30 years in the US.
- Their roots are in the US - children, family, friends, communities, involvement in local organizations and companies, but many long to nurture back to life their old roots by spending significant periods of time back home.
- They are actively considering a new phase of their lives, which involves spending extended periods of time back home reconnecting with family, friends and culture.
- Many want to create and maintain a dual-base (Two Homes/Two Life's) - in India and the US.
- For many, plans include doing some social service in India during their stay.
