Children of Sex Workers
The Larger Agenda
Along with its partners, AIF will develop approaches and demonstrate that it is possible for children of sex workers to have a better future, where education plays a crucial role. The role of the state will be essential in facilitating access to education for such children and funding (though the mothers and the communities should be able to take care of this), and AIF and its partners will work towards this end.
To realize the larger agenda, AIF will work at several levels. On the one hand, it will work with its NGO partners to develop approaches that can be replicated widely by a whole range of players, including schools and school teachers. On the other, it will support work of NGOs to address the root causes of social exclusion of such children, including aspects like training of teachers, to reverse prejudices.
