Setu: Centre for Social Knowledge and Action(2003, 2004, 2005) Kutch, Gujarat($ 89,187)
Setu has expertise in working with local communities, who are often the most marginalized sections of Gujarati society. As part of AIF’s support, Setu is working with children of saltpan migrants in Gujarat.

Janarth has developed an expertise to work with the migrant communities in Maharastra. Advocacy for the education of migrant children has been one of the key broad areas of Janarth.

Vikalpa (including Adhikar and Jan Mukti) (2005) ($217,032) Lokadrusti (2005) Orissa ($ 31,627)
Please note – these are two separate grants but implemented in same geographic area and the same program activities. For this reason, the description is combined. These are two organizations based in tribal districts of western Orissa, from where huge distress migration takes place to brick kilns of Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh.

The NGO Cohesion Trust was setup in 1996. It aimed at providing support to other organizations in project finance and management services, including planning, monitoring, and evaluations.

Yusuf Meherally Centre: (2005) Kutch, Gujarat ($ 23,779) for one year
The NGO Yusuf Meherally Centre (YMC) has been working in Mundra taluka (block), Kutch since 1996. Some of the activities of YMC include working for communal harmony, rehabilitation in cyclone and earthquake relief work, and access to basic health and education facilities.
